Dr. Ya-Wen Cheng, DAOM

Born and raised in Taiwan, Dr. Cheng comes from a long line of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctors. Her greatest inspiration was her father, a devoted TCM practitioner who dedicated his life to healing tens of thousands of patients across Taiwan. He worked tirelessly from dawn to dusk, often treating those who could not afford medical care - driven by compassion.

Moved by his selfless dedication and deep wisdom, Dr. Cheng set out to follow in his footsteps - not just to match his skill, but to embody his spirit of service.

Throughout her career, Dr. Cheng has pursued the most authentic, time-honored techniques in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She traveled to remote regions of China, seeking out rare diagnostic methods, secret herbal formulations, and ancient practices passed down exclusively from Master to Protégé.

Over the years, she became a disciple of more than ten TCM Masters and collaborated closely with expert herbalists and wild herb foragers. This deep immersion allowed her to acquire knowledge rarely shared with the outside world.

With this wealth of experience, Dr. Cheng founded Ming Yi Tang - devoted to bringing the highest quality, wild-crafted Chinese herbs and closely guarded TCM formulas to the United States. Her mission is clear: to help improve the health and well-being of tens of thousands of people, just as her father did before her.
